Branko Popovic is a creative entrepreneur active in fields such as the fashion industry, creative direction, project development, curation and consulting. In addition, he writes about fashion for various online magazines.
In 2009, together with Laurens Hamacher and Nawie Kuiper, he founded the FASHIONCLASH foundation in Maastricht - an innovative and interdisciplinary fashion platform for debuting designers and artists. The initiative discovers, stimulates and contributes to shaping current developments in fashion, ultimately unlocking them for a wider audience.
FASHIONCLASH is especially known for the annual festival of the same name, which connects the dots between all fashion sectors to give undiscovered talent visibility. Alongside the festival, the foundation develops and organizes various crossover and social design projects, masterclasses and workshops, working with diverse cultural institutions, theatre makers, filmmakers, photographers and more to urge the development of new talents and rethinking of the industry. Since 2009, more than 1000 designers and artists from all over the world have been presented through more than 200 FASHIONCLASH projects such as FASHIONCLASH Festival, FASHIONCLASH Fashion Film Festival, Fashion House Project, Fashion Makes Sense Award etc.
